Meet Jason!

Tell us a bit about you Jason!
I have been married to my wonderful wife, Megan, since 2017, and we have two amazing and crazy kiddos, Alexis, born in 2019, and Weston, born in 2022. I have worked in the healthcare IT field since I graduated from Texas Tech in 2010. I started out working as a customer support analyst and then worked my way up to an HL7 Implementation Analyst/Developer. I have been working in this field ever since.

Tell us about your work here at Sectra
I started at Sectra in September 2021, and I work as an Integration Engineer. Since I started my career, I have had a passion for helping people. I'm not a doctor or nurse, but going to bed at night and knowing what I do on a day-to-day basis can help people's lives lets me know I'm doing my part to improve patient care and their lives. And that feels so good.

My favorite part of working at Sectra is our amazing people. Out of all the companies I have worked at, I can say that the knowledge and passion of my Sectra family are second to none. We all share the common goal of providing the best product and being the best for our customers, and we are always willing to help one another.

What is most challenging with your kind of work?
We work in an ever-changing field. If you aren't always changing and improving your product, you will be left behind by our competitors. With all these changes and improvements, we are always having to challenge ourselves and constantly learn and grow. But that's also fun! A highlight of my time at Sectra was, for example, being involved in the first North American fully cloud-deployed project.
