Meet Bill!
Hi! I'm Bill, originally from Connecticut, and I graduated with a degree in Computer Science. It all started when a friend referred me for a contract position at a local hospital's IT department. That's where my journey in medical IT began.
In my free time, I love immersing myself in board games and video games. It allows me to further indulge my natural affinity for technology and problem-solving.
Let us know more about your role as a Senior Systems Engineer
Absolutely! I collaborate with IT and PACS Administration teams to install and configure Sectra systems according to their specific workflow needs. This involves engaging in in-depth conversations with both IT professionals and clinical specialists, designing data flows for current and future state workflows, managing migration efforts, and providing system-level training.
What has been your journey within Sectra?
I've been with Sectra for about six years now. Initially, I started as a first-line and then as a second-line Systems Engineer on the Customer Support team before transitioning into my current role. It's been an exciting journey, and I've had the opportunity to grow and develop my skills along the way.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Sectra?
One aspect I really love about working at Sectra is the exceptional teamwork. People with diverse skill sets come together to solve problems and achieve our goals. It's inspiring to witness the support and collaboration among the team members. Some of my fondest memories are when an engineer finally solves a challenging issue, and we all gather around his or her workstation, eager to learn from their success.
What are some of the challenges you face in your work?
That must be bridging the gap between the needs of IT departments and Imaging departments. It's crucial to ensure that Sectra's solutions meet the standards and requirements of both teams. However, this challenge motivates me to seek creative solutions and establish workflows that benefit everyone involved.
